I have been translating for 13 years, but my academic knowledge was acquired while studying for a master’s degree in translation studies at Bar Ilan University, Israel (where I graduated with honors in 2012).
As part of the curriculum, in July 2009, I passed all diploma exams in Hebrew-English-Hebrew translation and interpretation.
In addition, while studying for my bachelor’s degree in Hebrew linguistics at the Hebrew University (from which I graduated with honors in 2008), I acquired knowledge in literary translation and subtitling.
I began working as a self-employed translator in 2006, and now provide high quality translations for public institutions, academic scholars, legal firms and other private companies (for more details please click here).
I practice all forms of translation studied – translating written texts, interpreting (simultaneously and consecutively) at conferences and business meetings across Israel, subtitling for Israeli television and narrating Hebrew and English info videos (my accent is British as I spent 7 years of my life in London).
I was formerly an officer in the IDF and also worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a short period of time before joining the military.
In compliance with Israeli law, each job offer will be addressed with a quote and schedule for completion. Once these have been approved by the client, the translation work will be carried out accordingly. Upon completion, clients will be presented with an invoice and any other document they may need in order to make the payment. Following the receipt of funds, by wire transfer or check, clients will also be given a receipt.
